I've never seen Mary like this, why not, she's taking the Indian "colours" et many others...she has the colours that everybody wants.
Thanks, Jean and Bruce. I was with a group that was looking at religion in South India, including how Christianity had adapted there. When we went into this church, we were overcome by the lively decorations and vibrant colors (partly in neon, no less!) at the front. As a result, nobody else noticed this life-sized scene that we passed near the front door!! I was so intrigued by it that I didn't wonder until later about the stained glass and the light ... (If some day I post a photo of the front, I'll let you know.)
Any chance you visited Tamil Nadu Theological Seminary? If you did we may have some wonderful common friends.
No, Ian, we visited several churches but not the seminary. We also spent two days visiting a number of small-scale development projects in and around Madurai, the sort where people are able to get a loan to start a micro-business, etc. That was a remarkable and encouraging experience--a real privilege.
Beautiful image and appropriate for the dates that we are. Greetings, Juan.
Thank you, Juan, for finding this photo at this particular time. Greetings, Marilyn
It is so beautiful! Greetings, Maria
Thank you, Maria. I was surprised that nobody else in our group noticed this as we walked past! Greetings, Marilyn
