Hi Sharon I hope you did take some water no Photo is worth getting into difficulties for.When I climbed mountains here in the UK on hot days I took more Liquid than food.Best wishes Alan

Sharon that's why as a child we all use to take our own packs. my parent made sure a load was carried by each so you only take what you need these days yes its camera gear first and foremost but yes i think its a good thing to carry your own load. husbands are good as long as they like the outing Clara is the same we both agree where we go not drag. i think its a great sign make people think. steve PS you will note i changed camera over the last 6 months.
