I have also tried to stay out of it, but enough is enough. The sad thing is that new people come all the time that don't know the history and so they keep feeding him ! so I guess someone has do say something, just glad it's not me that is the moderator.

An insect, obviously, but not a bug (Hemipteran), but an Orthopteran. Bugs suck (literally!) Orthopterans (grasshoppers, locusts and crickets) chew. Best I can do. You need an expert or keen amateur entomologist to identify the species.This one looks like one of the solitary locust species to me.
