For Richard It is the remain of a vessel "The Sweepstakes. The 36.3 metres vessel was a two masted, centreboard schooner, built in 1867. In the fall of 1885 she ran aground near Cove Island lighthouse,the crew rescued by the lightkeeper. Her hull is nearly intact with the top deck 2 metres below the surface and a section of railing and the windlass used for hauling the anchors can be seen at the bow. It is the last remaining exemple of a nineteenth century schooner. This is a part of the story they told me. Syl

Para los "locos" por los pecios, este es un perfecto ejemplo de barco bien conservado, en perfecto orden de marcha y fácilmente accesible. Por estas características llegué a él, ya que estaba documentando una expedición de buceo al 'Thistlegorm', en el Mar Rojo, auténtico referente mundial del submarinismo en pecios.
