This building belonged to Egypt’s Prime Minister of Armenian origin Nubar Pasha who was also the the founder of Armenian General Benevalent Union (AGBU). Today it is part of the army offices, which was acquired by Nationalization of property during Gamal Abdel Nasser's regime in 1963. Regretfully the Egyptian government never returned this property to its rightful owners, the AGBU and the Armenian community, to this date.
