A builder cut down about 200 trees--illegally. The village was able to stop the project and acquire the land. Now visitors can see nature at work, gradually healing the destruction.
For another view of nature at work in this wetland preserve, see.

Hello Marilyn, isn't it sad to see the harm that is being done to nature (both legally and illegally)all over the world just for the sake of profit?! But in the end nature wins and hopefully this ill always be so. Greetings, Anne

hi marilyn. its truly a sad sight to see a mature tree cut down illegally. even when mother nature wreeks havoc its equally as sad. take a look at my photo 'high winds hell'. it was my neighbours poplar tree that came crashing down between our houses last january. the pleasure i used to get watching and listening to that tree are gone forever now.take care.
