Hetyei romtemplom / Hetye church ruins

A mai Ádánd területéhez tartozott Hetye, amiről az első írásos emlék 1082-ből maradt fent. Hetye falu a török hódoltság alatt pusztult el, a templomot is ekkor rombolták le. Az eredetileg 13. sz.-i román, majd a 14. sz.-ban gótikus csúcsívekkel díszített templomnak csupán a tornya maradt meg romos állapotban, melynek nyugati oldalán befalazott félköríves ablak, felette félig lepusztult harangrés látható. A templom hajója a keleti oldalhoz csatlakozott, egykoron donga boltozat fedte.

Hetye belonged to present-day Ádánd, whereof the first written remembrance is from 1082 A.D. Hetye village and the church was completely destroyed during the Ottoman turk invasion. Originally 13th century roman and later 14th century gothic style ogives decorated the church. Only the tower survived in very ruined condition which has a walled up semicircled window on the west side. Above this the half ruined belfry lies. The nave was located on the east side and was covered by stave dome.
