You have indeed, Peter and it is certainly appreciated. One of the artists who contributes in Panoramio, J J Romero, suggested this would become a Pano classic. You are certainly affirming that idea.

For me it is another example of "receiving" an image, rather than taking, capturing or shooting one. I find the English expressions of capture, take and shoot too aggressive as ideas or words, especially when something as delicate and beautiful as this is before our lens!

Thanks again, Peter.

Very great shot and composition Ian.YS

Best warmest wishes Małgorzata

Ian Stehbens on May 20, 2010

Thank you Małgorzata. This is the image from that morning's photography that thrilled me most. The spot has become known as Mirror Lake and that's what I was enjoying most amongst the fogs, mists and sunrise. The YS is very much appreciated.

impressive captue Ian - it sounds different

greetings, Hubs

Ian Stehbens on January 22, 2011

Yes it does, Hubs and I well remember your 2009 image. In fact that was in my mind when I was cruising on Milford Sound. Glad this Mirror Lakes image impresses you, for it was like a deep spiritual experience for me.

We stopped here late in the day on our return from Milford, did some photography, and promised ourselves that we would have an early night and be back here pre-dawn! It was worth the time and the doubling back!

Kind regards,

Ian

Great portrayal of nature Ian Stehbens!

Ian Stehbens on January 27

Thanks, adoverboy2. It took some hours for this photoshoot, but eventually the fog lifted and the sun shone whilst the reflector remained like glass.
