It looks like the flowers called Freesia that I buy in the grocery store on my way home from work!

Close Eve. It's actually an Alstroemeria, called Parrot Flowers or Peruvian Lilies. This is probably a hybrid, derived from A. aurea, very similar to some I have in the garden. I think they may grow in Montana, but maybe it's just too cold. The species will stand -10'C with some to -15'C.
Very nice photo Reynald.
Cheers, Greg

I think they are like Gladiolus. They will grow in Southwest Montana, but only if you plant the bulbs in the spring and dig them up in the fall!

The flowers are fairly typical zygomorphic monocot, with similarities to the irises and the orchids. However, the family is most similar to the Luzuriagaceae and the Colcicaceae.

This is one of the few I could identify, only with its common/local name, Amancay, of Quechua origin.
Thanks Eve and Greg!
