Great lighting, I hope you took them home with you. Cheers, D

LOLOL Dianne - I now have a reusable grocery bag of them sitting in the car.....

Great light and shadow work, clever idea, great shot.

whoelius on April 13, 2010

The white one in the middle is my favourite! :)

Ritva Astikainen on April 15, 2010

Lovely light, very nice collection! Cheers, Ippa

Bits-n-Pieces on April 17, 2010

Thanks Laurel, whoelius, and Ippa! I NEVER arrange cutesy photos, but I couldn't resist with all of these shells and the setting sun. And who - the white one thanks you. My favorite is the shiny one at the bottom - the only one I found that wasn't all eroded.

Amelia Royan on April 20, 2010

I love this one to bits Bits! You would never catch me arranging cutesy photographs of shells! No siree ;-)

Are these whelks? My favourite is the one just behind Who's favourite :))

Bits-n-Pieces on April 21, 2010

Thanks so much Amelia! And I'm quite relieved that you don't stoop to cutesy arrangements in your photography! ;)

These are Atlantic Moon Snails, fairly common along the coast here in New England. I have a few photos of a live one here, also. Sadly, this is the only whelk I have posted. Thanks - and glad to see you're back to being yourself!

How many years did it take that group to find each other?

I rather like that one, Bits, if you don't mind me saying so.

Conrad Nay on April 22, 2010

I'll have a nice glass of buttery Chardonnay with my Escargot please.

Bits-n-Pieces on April 26, 2010

many many years n1w - and a few storms, and then waiting for me to amble along to bring them all together.. Thanks for liking the shot!

And coming right up Conrad. The wine is a good idea, as the escargot are a bit dry.....And then we'll raise the glass and say.........Here's looking at you!
