Aki Kuwahara on March 25, 2007

Yes, they are looking straight westward. My position was off a bit. I changed it on Panoramio.

If the watch on my camera was correct, it was taken on 12 April 2005 at 2:32 pm.

Para que salgas de las dudas que tienes respecto a las estatuas o Moai que es su verdadero nombre. Saludos, Patricia.

Great shot.

Do you know how big they are?

Patricia Santini on September 22, 2007

There are hundreds of enormous statues, some of them up to 10 or 12 meters of height and 50 tons of weight. In the beginning, those colossal statues had hats of red stone, called PUKAO and their weight is over 10 tons. Greetings, Paty.

World is plenty of wonderful nature panoramas we don't know how they were produced and amazing works we ignore their meaning. Thank you Thoiryk to let us see some detail. Greetings from Spain.

Ja da sind mal wider die Sieben. Die Webohner hatten wie man sieht wohl nix anderes zu tun als überall solche Figuren zu bauen. Cool !
