You have a tamarind tree in your house? I've never seen this flower, I know only the fruit! It is quite sour, but the juice is delicious, is not it? You photographed a very beautiful flower!

Yes, the tree is not so big and tall yet, now is around 4 meters and on August, September usually flowering. Indonesian use the fruits or young leaf for cooking. If you wan, you can trace from that picture right side of this picture and comparing with GE or from GE on a "Fly to", you feel "Muncul, Serpong, Tangerang, Indonesia" then click 'Magnifier mark'. have a nice flight.....

I too have seen the seed pods and the drink...but never knew it had this wonderful orchid like flower. A fantastic shot with the ant! Like!
