Wonderful flat scene encountered with a huge mountain, swallowing the end of the road. Great shot, Erik! cheers, archrodney!

Thanks for stepping by and for your very descriptive and friendly comment, archrodney! The scenery itself was amazing and also a bit surrealistic. We felt like being in kind of an immense amphitheater and I remember calling it 'Gods Playground' ;-) We'd never seen this kind of nature before in Italy, high plains at about 1300m surrounded on all sides by mountains. This road could have easily been in America.

And you're very right about the flat perspective. I used the maximum zoom width here (approx. 300mm) to get this kind of shot.

Cheers! erik

I'm so envy your max zoom is about 300mm Erik! :)) To tell the truth, I also wanted to write it could be in the States like this one. Haha, "Gods' playground" sounds great and a very good description for a place like this. cheers, archrodney!
