Good one!

Scorched Earth Photo… on April 27, 2010

Thank you someGuyinmasset. I was gonna call it " Scuse Me While I Kiss the Moon " but that would be plageristic. I didn't even realize the outcome of my photographic endeavors ( until later during download ) since the moon rises rather quickly and I had about 20 points that I wanted to bracket against. Also, it is with a heavy heart that I must announce that the Edsel Adams Traveling Award for Phine Fotography was awarded to not1word. Steam Powered Eagle versus Snazzy Brick Pantaloons was a veritable quandry ( a clash of behemoths ), but ultimately the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile won out over Seeing Eye Dog. Unfortunately, the Council has voted. On the bright side, it is supposed to be a traveling award and hopefully will someday reside on your mantle for a brief period of time. Actually, it is more of a curse than an award, and if not passed on to another deserving photographer after a short duration, demons will gather and voodoo witchcraft will run amucketh ! The Council consists of 7 people - Me, Myself, and I and since I have a split personality and an extra vote for a tie breaker, well you do the math. Your photographic achievements merit the highest praise, but the Weiner is. Lo Siento - DorkEarthPhoto

Rats! Guess I just didn't quite cut the mustard.

I'm sure you will rise to the occasion and capture the award. When it happens, relish the moment.

I keep meaning to comment on this - Nice to see King Kong's sensitive side!

Scorched Earth Photo… on June 26, 2010

Hi kamalyn - unfortunately for Kong and Moon Wray, it was a long distance relationship that never quite worked out !

Menno de Jong on October 25, 2010

..Brilliant..!

Scorched Earth Photo… on October 26, 2010

Thanks Menno - this is probably the best photo I've taken with a digital camera ! Not that I could do better with film, but it takes a while to learn how to " fool " the sensors and light meter without changing settings on the camera ( I always forget to change them back ).

Great snap!

Entered this in a photo contest and it got published in a vertical orientation rather than horizontal . Got a lot of " nice picture , but strange title " comments . Earthlings !

Bits-n-Pieces on March 25, 2011

lol, how frustrating!! of course, it could have just been that the orangutan was lying down.

Scorched Earth Photo… on March 25, 2011

Well Bits-n-Pieces , rarely do clouds hang vertically on the horizon . Aside from that , the orangutan was not caged in a zoo - he is a free range Wyoming Orangutan ! Gotta remember that this is Wyoming - the Amish are more modern than we are !

Fantastic "pareidolia", looking this orangutan

Scorched Earth Photo… on August 28, 2012

Had to look " pareidolia " up in the dictionary Guia arquitectura ! It wasn't until I downloaded the images to the computer that I realized the simian symmetry .
