This photo was taken in the rocky mountains west of Calgary and the location indicated on Google Maps is on the #1 highway east of Calgary, Alberta out on the prairie.

I really dont remember which Rockies but I am sure this is going to the Columbia Icefield..

I look into this again in the fall when we have our long drive. I try to make lots of nice pix to share .. I jsut dont know how to get a good angle.

Nice picture, but the location is definitely wrong. You've mapped it out on the prairie southeast of Calgary, with not a mountain in sight. It looks very familiar, but I can't tell you for sure what mountain it is. It would likely be somewhere on the highway between Banff and Jasper.
