Ahh! I remember now........this is what it's supposed to be all about: PHOTOGRAPHY! Not pixels or grain structure, ASA ratings, lens envy, Nikons, Canons or Lietz hardware. It's the eye, stupid! It's the ability and sensibility to SEE what you're looking at. Mr Stephens, I stumbled on this view less than an hour ago, which lead me to more of your wonderful images and I'd like to thank you for sharing your passion and enjoyment for seeing and recording how wonderful our world can be.

Thank you, Robinofsherwood, I sometimes feel that I'm just snapping away and missing the point so comments such as yours are really encouraging! I had been thinking that I ought to go and learn how to take photos properly but maybe now I'll postpone that and just go out with my camera. Actually, I take most of my photos when out walking with my wife so the amount of time to compose and fiddle is strictly limited and I have to shoot on the move - 10 seconds to compose then run to catch up! Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the photos; if you've been to St Mawes then you could always buy my book!

I've just checked out Blurb. Have you had one printed? I ordered a book from Pixmania and Apple and the quality was acceptable but not brilliant. If you have had one printed, what was the quality like - photo quality, magazine quality or inkjet?
William Stephens, on June 18, 2008, said:
Andrew, yes I've done two books the quality is very good - I had about a dozen printed to give as presents and they are like a book - not top quality coffee table stuff and probably worth getting the larger size to prevent the pages being too small. There are lots more places doing them now but I think Blurb are still one of the best. I think that they have reduced their postage prices a bit now as those were quite steep.
