Barnsen Steingrab

Chambered Tomb in Lower Saxony, right next to a small airport, east of Barnsen.

There are some unanswered questions about this location. When you approach from the south, you will see three pretty big bolders, stuck upright in the ground. They are some 1.7m over ground, apprx. 1.5m wide. But what purpose do these stones have ? Are they megalithic at all?

Sprockhoff's Atlas describes the remains of a tomb: Three orthostats of the NW long side in situ, two of the other side. One single stone of a short side in situ as well. Two capstones sunken into the chamber.

And, right next to those strange three stones you see the chamber. It is partly hidden in the leaves and dirt.
