Opferstein von Melzingen
Natural Stone with Carving in Lower Saxony.
The sacrifice stone is located in an oval
30m x 20m depression. There is a deep
artificial carve running arround the boulder.
The area was examined in 1957.
They found a stone age axe and a bronze axe,
so it is possible that the stone was used for
most likely cultic purposes 2500 - 600 BCE.
