The actual title for this photo is Locomotive Breath

This version is pretty amazing as well. But the infrared negative sure is a powerful effect. Derek

Appreciate the comment NatureDiver - the infrared ( orthopositive / inverted ) version is even more powerful if the viewer understands the true Legacy of the White Buffalo and the history behind it !

Would this be it?? Legend of the White Buffalo

Scorched Earth Photo… on January 17, 2011

Yeah Derek , that first part pretty much sums it up !

Gotta keep the legends and the Buffalo alive GordJessPhotos . This image was taken in -15°F weather . Mr. Buffalo was not in a good mood !

Hi Waldo :) I had to run to the basement to convert that.. my native temperature unit is fahrenheit but we don't really get down that low in the Carolinas. ah ha -15f = -26c that's what it was today here in Ontario & I wasn't going oustide for nuthin'! Well done of you to be out in the elements! It's a toasty -35 here right now or -31 in your speak. Good thing I'm in the igloo!! Thinkin' about hibernating till Spring... :D ha!

Wish I could say that I was one of those intrepid photographers who braves the cold GordJessPhotos, but I took this from the comfort and safety of my self propelled climate controlled tripod ( vehicle ) ! Roll down the window part way , clamp the telephoto to the window, capture the image ! Camera gear really doesn't function that well in extreme cold temperatures ( nor do photographers ).
