Beautiful pictures of Tobermory and Flowerpot. Any suggestions on where to stay (and what to do)if traveling up here. We were thinking of coming up to take a look (based partly on these pictures). Do you have anything of Manitoulin Island?

I've had good experiences at the Cedar Vista motel in 2003 and 2004 and at the Peacock Villa in 2005 and 2006. http://www.tobermory.org/motel.html I've also camped at Cyprus Lake Campground. You should definitely spend some time on the Bruce Trail, check out Singing Sands (IMHO best at sunset) and the fen there and take a boat trip with a stop at Flowerpot Island. Regarding the Bruce Trail, my favourite parts are from Halfway Log Dump access to Cave Point and the area near Cyprus Lake, from Indian Head Cove to Overhanging Point. If you care about swimming in Georgian Bay come in August or early September because then it's warmest. I've never been on Manitoulin Island.
