Beautiful picture, Peter! So there will soon be some cute little chicks in the area! Greetings, Anne

Thanks Anne

I hope to get back there soon to see how things are developing, and I will keep you posted!

About 4 metres away there was a coot on a nest in a very similar position but in denser growth.

Best wishes Peter

Hi Anne

Passed this way on Tuesday and managed to see three eggs, but not quick enough to take a shot. She was receiving food from her mate seen here

Best wishes Peter

Hi Anne

Passed this way on the 4/3/2011 and a Grebe occupies the same nesting site, along with a Coot a few yards away.

I wonder if they are the same birds.

All the best Peter
