This small mountain in California's San Joaquin Valley may soon become a gravel mine. Local residents are fighting against it, but eventually, it will be gone, and in its place there will be a huge pit, a massive cloud of dust, and strings of gravel trucks crowding the highway that takes one to Kings Canyon National Park.

What a shame to destroy the countryside just for a gravel mine! Hopefully the resident people will succeed in preventing this. Greetings, Anne
