Hi, I have a question (that's more a personal curiosity): I was reading the story of Saint Helens collapse and watching around in GMaps I saw this huge amount of "things" that later I realised being logs. Are these logs for timber purposes or the result of the debris flow after the eruption of the volcano? Thanks, ciao!

Thank you for your comment. That is a good question. I refer you to this other photo where I answered a similar question. It really is a interesting and beautiful place.

Thanks! I read your explanation and I found astonishing the whole fact and those logs still floating there after more than 30 years. The other photo gives the real idea and feeling.
