See below the same tree at different seasons:
Beautiful photo, May! I love this tree! The whole thing is kind of shaped like a very tall lime :-)
Wonderful countryside with wonderful clouds, it all makes me very happy!
One thing I like about many of your photos that show roads is that they're very simple, with nothing painted on them. All the roads around here have white and yellow stripes, even the very small country roads (except the gravel ones), and it's a very distracting thing to have in a photograph. This pavement here is very subtle, and it shows the light and shadows, and it doesn't take anything away from the scenery.
Thank you Ryan, for your comment and for finding some of my pictures, which for some unknown reasons haven't been noticed before. I like this picture, because of the oncoming thunderstorm. It looks, as if the trees would hold on their breaths, as if they knew, that shortly the storm would tousle their twigs and leaves.
That's the same tree as the one on a winter's day. There before it got cut. And there is one in Spring and one in autumn as well in my collection here. See under "trees".
This road isn't a main road. It leads up the hills from Sumiswald to Wasen. There is also a hiker's track along the road, which further up leads in a way with gravel. The view from this road is spectacular, as we can see the Bernese Alps in the South as well as the midlands and the Jura in the North, a massive plateau of 1000 and more meters. - The main roads are down in the valley on either side. On this road you see the carefully mended part, sometimes they add with their pattern to the charms of these roads.
