I was browsing Panoramio a few minutes ago when this guy interrupted me. I figured I'd take a picture of him (and this incredibly messy computer desk!). Does anyone have an idea for a name for him? The picture on the screen, ironically, is Vasco Pires' Cat Fight!

Ha Ha! great! my cats also do that! That's a beautifull cat! And he seems fierce! You could call him: Alexander (the great)

Jessica G. on July 25, 2007

Alexander; I like that name! He's not really that fierce, though. He just looks like it.

Vasco Pires on July 25, 2007

Or Attila (the Hun)! It would also be nice. BTW it's a new cat?

A nearly-adopted stray. He just appeared on our doorstep, and it looks like he's here to stay. Thanks for the name suggestions!

Hi Phoenix! Truly a great shot and what a coincidence! Anyway, this cat seems to feel at home at your place, and he's very handsome, too... Greetings, Anne

Great shot, Phoenix. I don't let my cats into my computer room - I carry enough of their shed hair in myself without their help. This guy probably hasn't been stray very long, he looks completely comfortable in a human habitation and very friendly. And like all cats, Regal. I second Vasco's suggestions, though I prefer "Alexander".

That's great, Phoenix! A wonderful photo! …and I love this cat! She is a beauty! i hope to see more photos of her.

Greetings, May

So, what did you name 'Alexander'? He is lovely! He looks like my sister's cat, Katie. Katie not only looks fierce, she is. She rules at my sister's house where a dog showed up about 2 weeks ago and she is teaching him what he can and can't do. He is a good dog and learning his lessons. Hi and hug to this cat, waiting to hear his new name... Jean

Yes, he looks very much like Katie! We settled on "Alex," but sadly this cat has been gone for over a year. We had to give him up to the shelter, so I can only hope he's been adopted by a good loving family.
