One heard my "bull" call, and soon the curiosity of the others brought them all to the top of the ridge to investigate.

Thanks nacho pehinucu.

Your lucky that the real bull didn't hear you and took you on his antlers Ian. Nice picture. Greetings Berend

Ian Stehbens on May 10, 2010

Dear Maja and Berend,

There is a little ambiguity here. Was it me or the deer who were incredibly alert? Can you imagine me out in the countryside talking to the animals? I do, you know. And as Berend recognizes, I had better be alert if I am roaring like a buck or I might find a challenger charging my way! Alert I was!!

I wasn't counting to 5 or 6 or more at the time, I was making sure I could count to 1, if he was near.

Having fun, I was. (And I had a great Monday.)

Thanks for your best wishes.

Dear Peter,

As you know there are some wonderful opportunities for photographing deer around Copenghagen! How I remember.

And thanks for the YS for this image. It was a special moment and this week is going well already.

Thanks, Peter.

Hi Jeff.

Isn't it interesting the way we use the English language in photography? "Capture" seems odd when we have animals present like this. "Capture the moment", I did. But I "captured their attention" and "they captured mine"!

Thanks for your appreciation.

A spinnaker visit, Jim? That mistress of yours has had you busy lately - in the dock or on the high seas? With the volcano ash, I thought of you and the other salts like you up and down the east coast. Thought you may have been called on to evacuate all the strandees from Dunkirk again.

Glad you appreciate these alert beasties. Lovely ladies really.

Warmest regards,

Ian
