Actually, it's Musick Light and the aircraft was the Samoan Clipper (a Sikorsky S-42) . Ed Musick was Pan Am's chief pilot, and was the pilot of the China Clipper on its legendary trans-Pacific flight. He and the entire crew were lost off Pago Pago on January 11, 1938.
