Yes. I was in A Company, 123rd Aviation Bn. in Chu Lai.

I had two units in the 23rd. C Co 1/46th, 196th LIB (LZ Pro) 11B, and Hq&A 701st Maint. 63H20 I remember that our Maint unit was moved, from somewhere near the airstrip (the Phantoms use to keep us up all night taking off loaded, damn they were loud), to the Ky Ha helo port. I haven't been able to find the old barracks on any photos. It was two parallel two-story buildings with a single-story shower building between the two. Originally the SeaBees had built it for themselves, so it was great digs. Wish I could find it. From my memories of the sounds of the jets, I remember them as just going under heavy take-off thrust when they were even with where we were (they took off northbound most of the time), and maybe 100-150 yards to our west. Anyone have any ideas?
