A pirate ship, complete with sails, flags, tunnels, slides, ladders, and even a treasure map!

I was just thinking as I was driving this evening that I bet you would have a shot of the playground and what a unique one this is. I have driven by but never gotten close enough to see the pirate ship.

Thanks, joyfotos. I often shoot playgrounds, and as I was shooting this one, I realized why. Playgrounds offer an endless variety of shapes, lines, angles, and are filled with rich, saturated colors.

My daughter pointed out that the slides were all color-coded. All of the slides with their tops at a particular height were the same color. This didn't mean all the yellow slides were the same height; because this playground is on a hillside, a yellow slide may go down one, two, or three levels and end in different places. But all the yellow slides (and all the red slides and all the green slides) started at the same height.
