Timo* I think , this is beach with in wintertime many ice? and now-- it`s springtime and summers, will be wonderful sandy world ! Or goes the water retour and so this Sand? !!Live there also animals or birds ?

Hi Romina, the main reason for these huge beaches is not so natural: the power company has a water power station by the river that leads the water of Lake Oulujärvi to the Sea. They consume more water for the power production during the winter and this makes the water level low in May.. later there will be more water..

The nature of the beach is quite rich: by the water all the fish arrives, pike, perch, even salmon is there. there is at least one otter and tens of different birds..

Terve Timo, best thanks for this wonderful comment to this picture and my ask ! I now it understand ! And also is Kaajani the town, where was living the man , was had writing the KALEVALA ? So is that ALL in summertimes a wonderful beach for also tourists ... they make fishing also and have a wonderful time there. Best many greetings to you
