Thanks so much kez! It was sure a pretty magical moment to not only watch them feeding in this light, but to have caught this pose. And so interesting to look back on this. The cygnet is already flying!

I have seen a family of swans the other day on the lake.

These once cute young turned into a gangly teenengers, gray and definitely not as graceful as the parents.

Thanks Tom! LOL, yeah, the teen-agers sure do look like, well, teenagers! It's still surprising to look at this photo and remember how tiny they were.

This photo reminds me of a quote from Star wars episode 1: "Always two there are, no more, no less. A master and an apprentice" It's a very nice photo, Like. May the force be with you ;-)

Thanks so much for that great quote Roar. LOL, a momma and her baby sure to still follow that saying, as she teaches it all it needs to know. Thanks for the Like!

Hi Kamalyn,

nice link you gave! Here they look so gentle and sweet, but I've seen mom attacking people coming too close! They really know how to defend their offspring.

Best wishes, Timo

Hi Timo - a belated reply, but Thanks!

Any many thanks also Matin and birgitof. It's nesting season for the swans again, but I doubt I'll get another chance like this one.
