Thanks, Alex. It is a magnificent place. I should have added a link when I posted this. Here it is, belatedly:

This is the interior of the cathedral with the spectacular ceiling.

Cheers,

Alex

Thank You Marilyn for this interiour picture! This is great, but I cannot recall colour details since my visit in St. Peterburg in early years 1991! I think this is because in past years not all interiour details was fully restored. I seen then inside this cathedral working Foucault pendulum. Now pendulum are removed and initial glory of cathedral are fully restored.

Great picture from Peterburg, indeed! Do You been there last year? a

Yes, I was there in September 2006. I'm sure it is very much changed from 1991!

When I was a girl, I was fascinated by a Foucault pendulum in a museum in Chicago which we visited from time to time.

Marilyn, thank you for comment! I have few Peterburg photos from my past visit, but I need a little clean from dust and might be adjust in colours too before will be ready for upload. Those might be interesting only to compare views aka 'now and then'. :) Cheers a

That would be an interesting comparison. I look forward to seeing whatever you have. Marilyn

Thank You Marilyn, I will try as soon as possible, but I am in great temptation to capture new photos rather than clean old ones! :D a

Of course, Ainars, I understand that feeling and would not wish to stop you. I also look forward to seeing what new photos you share!

Hello Marilyn, last night I uploaded few photos from Peterburg. Those photos are not all I have. Most of them are with my wife, and I must receive some accepts before I publish! :D You are welcome to spend minutes and browse my old fashioned photos! With regards a

p.s. sorry for yellow tonality - that was problem with film quality. I tried edit levels where available, but slides was with very low level in blue channel. :( I must decide, either keep yellowish or convert to b/w.
