Very beautiful shot !
Greetings from Hungary, Imre
Beautiful natural shot Florencio: lovely location..
Thanks Sean. This is one of 5 Jesuitic Estancias in the province of Córdoba (along with Caroya, Jesús María, Alta Gracia, and Santa Catalina) actually large ranchs where the Jesuits had self-sustained societies based on a rigid catholic discipline and work by indians (they did have a soul) and african slaves (they did not). Anyway, the Jesuits built a state inside a state, and after a borders treaty in 1750 between Spain and Portugal they were cast away from the north of Argentina and Paraguay and later from Córdoba too. But they sure left their mark.
The Mission shows quite well part of these events. Cheers, Florencio
Otra preciosidad que no me importaria visitar. Saludos.
Hi Florencio, many thanks for this very interesting history: when I looked at it the first time I did think ( from the map), that it was in a very remote location, now I know why.
I hope you and your family are well today,
Hey Sean, in fact this Estancia is the one that lies more countryside, so to say, it takes a long and winding gravel road (did some say that before?) to get there.
Aye, Florencio, 'The Beatles' might have had a hand in that one my friend :-)
Oh yes, I was scratching my head wondering where in the harrison had I heard it!
