Brilliant black and white shot of Machynlleth train station. A favourite! - great with the wet ground.
Thanks. My mother used to live near Caernarfon and I'd travel to see her via Machynlleth and Porthmadog or Pwllheli, and I often had to change trains at Machynlleth. On wet winter nights it always made me think of the country railways of the 19th century, winding their way through desolate countryside with the stations being oases of warmth and comfort for the weary traveller, a place to escape the battering of the wind-driven rain.
