Szentesica, Koppány emlékhely / Szentesica, Koppány memorial

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

A Kupavár-hegy nyugati lábánál tiszta vizű forrás ered. A Szentesica-forrásnak egykor csodatévő, gyógyító erőt tulajdonítottak. A legenda szerint Koppány herceg legyőzése után (997-ben) Szent István király itt mosta meg véres kezét, és ezáltal megtisztult. Hálából a forrás fölé kápolnát építtetett.

A forrás mellett, 2001. május 26-án avatták fel a Koppány-emlékművet, Stamler Imre történész kezdeményezésére.

On the west side of the Kupavár hill a clean water fountain is flowing. This fountain is called Szentesica and had been atrributed with magical healing power. The legend stated in 997 after the defeat of Koppány, István washed his blood covered hands in these waters. He builded a zion over this fountain. Next to the fountain a Koppány monument has been risen in 2001.

Nagyon szépen köszönöm Évi! A Szentesica-forrásnak egykor csodatévő, gyógyító erőt tulajdonítottak. A legenda szerint Koppány herceg legyőzése után (997-ben) Szent István király itt mosta meg véres kezét, és ezáltal megtisztult. Hálából a forrás fölé kápolnát építtetett.

Ha ajánlhatom a kő másik oldalán a feliratot elolvasásra.
