I thought of Postman Pat , but that's just the age difference between me and you Lesley ;-0
Yes perfection. Only the stamp and letter is missing, but that is rare since the email revolution. Tomas
Ja May, da hast Du wirklich den richtigen Moment erwischt. Sehr gut gemacht!

How long did you have to wait for it dear May? How pretty, all colours of the Union Jack together :)))

Warm greetings dear May.
Lesley, Peter und Gaby, Zaman, Domi, Francisco, Alan, Jeff, Rafael, Geomanncer, Brezza, Carlos, Rapi, Tomas, Majantje, Maja, Gezginruh,
thank you all so much! - merci beaucoup! - Muchas gracias! - grazie! - herzlichen Dank!
Lesley, thanks for the link, that was exactly what I was reminded as well, when I saw the scene! I simply love the cheerful red of the Royal mail emblems and telephone boxes! To appreciate it, one has to be either British or to have lived in Britain for a while, I think. :))- Brezza, the postman just got into the car to drive off, I met him again at Clapham station, which is about one and half a mile outside the village, I am hesitant in any case to take photos of people. Only once I got a postman on a photo, but you will see that later on my journey down in the Southwest. - Rapi, thanks for the link, very interesting. - Alan, thank you for your link of Postman Pat, it shows precisely, why the Royal mail is so special and liked so well. I actually passed the region of Longsleddale, when I was in Cumbria - Maja, oh no, I didn't have to wait! On the contrary, that was a matter of less than a minute, I saw the scene, when driving round the corner, got out of the car in a hurry, left it on the road, where it was, to get this photo before the postman got away. I did my best to get all of it on the same picture.
Warm regards - amitiés - abrazos - ciao - liebe Grüsse,
You are lucky.
You obtained a great composition.
Greetings from Spain, Juanje.
Juanje, thank you! Yes, I was lucky, but not only. I meet such places, because I love to travel and discover small villages, sometimes through one track roads, if necessary crossing fords and cattle grids. Clapham - the name of this village - is very pretty, situated beside a river and easy access by a big road, which I avoided, as usual. ;) Best regards, May
