Hi dr.feelgood,
Thanks for your help. I actually rented a car that day to get out to St. John from St. Thomas. It's not hard to believe that it's actually a taxi, but not at first look. I have plagiarized your comment into my title. Interesting that you bring up Jost Van Dyke, a friend and her husband were just in St. Thomas two weeks ago. She did not use a taxi in Jost but took a boat to the Soggy Dollar, swam to shore (hence the name) and said she had a delicious fish lunch. I have only looked at the website and not yet been to the tiny island of only a few hundred people. If I ever do go I will return to your comment to remind myself of your insane taxi driver warning. :]
Cheers from Brooklyn.
