On this site, 13 windmills will be built soon. Production will begin 2012.
Beautiful landscape, so I prefer to imagine that it will be always this way.
Beautiful landscape. Nice photo
So I don´t want to think about this Sneman it´s so sad., thank to share. It´s so beautiful, I want to have it with me. Thanks.YS.
Thank you for telling us about the wind turbines. The same thing is happening in the open landscapes where I live (Interior Western United States)
I suppose they are a thing for the future. Now, if only they could be put up together, in large parks insted of being spread out somewhat haphazardly, like they do here.
I am also worried what the wind turbines might do to bird life.
Such a beautiful open landscape. Are there that many people on the island that will benefit from such a project or will it somehow be exported off the island?
Vennlig hilsen, Larry.
The island has appx 1000 inhabitants. The power will be fed to the general supply in our area, so their direct benefit is probably not that graet, apart from a few jobs.
How do the people there get their electricity right now??
today, they are served by sea cable from the mainland.
All are beautiful, land, grass, rocks and waters... I like! Mireca.
A very interesting landscape, but are there also trees, because I do not see a tree there. Best greetings Reimund
Reimund: There are trees here, for sure, but the tree line on this island generally does not go higher than around 100 - 150 m depending on exposure.
