The church was made of stone in 1733, in the place of a church from the 17th century, which was made of wood and mud. The construction and the furnishing has ended in 1780. The patron of the old church was Saint Nicholas. The new one was dedicated to the memory of the birth of Saint John the Baptist (Ivan Krstitelj).
