This is absolutely beautiful Marilyn. The serenity is almost palpable! I love the way the little girl is emulating her Mama, while the boys are taking it easy. Is this the normal order of things in Cambodia?

I wonder what happens at 'the water station'?

Warm greetings, Amelia

Thank you, ®ock, Dany, christian, nik, Ria, Tonia, Finn, and Amelia. It was fascinating to see "normal life" carried on in such an unusual setting!

Ria, it was amazing to get to Cambodia as a three-day trip added on to our tour of China.

Amelia, I don't know much about gender roles in Cambodia, but I learned something about age. Our excellent guide was surprised that we were still traveling at the age of 73. "Here people in their sixties are old and tired and just stay home!" I think he even told my age a group of Cambodian women who were visiting one of the temples. They nodded and smiled approvingly, and the only grey-haired one patted my arm as she walked past!

I don't know for sure, but perhaps people get drinking water at the water station.

Best wishes to all, Marilyn
