Hello Marilyn, great colours through the arc, I guess this one comes in line with the others...through windows...

Greetings

Alex

Thanks, Alex. Windows ... you are right. I have read the advice to look at your photos and try to recognize what keeps showing up in them, and that's it: It doesn't necessarily show up in my Panoramio collection, but I like taking pictures out through windows (or doorways), in through windows, or through window substitutes like this!!

Thanks, Bruce. The colors along that shoreline intrigued me.

Greetings Marilyn, This is on par with any of the arches of Utah. Very nice. Original way to high light the colors in the water on the shore. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Rich

Thanks, Rich. I'd like to have a chance at those Utah arches--though there wouldn't be the color of this Michigan water!

Thanks, Sigmund. We live in a beautiful world if only we open our eyes--and I believe that you, by example, must be helping people to open theirs!

Dear Marilyn Whiteley

Photography is not the magic of camera , it is the vision of the man behind camera.

Very wonderful view dear Marilyn I've just read a book (The tale of Halcyon Crane) that takes place on an imaginary island in the Great Lakes. The author has used nature of Mackinac Island as part of the foundation for the tale :) What I have pictured myself by imagination is very well expessed in this shot! :) Best wishes, Peter

Dear Marilyn!

I have read in the newspaper at the moment, in this island you can travel by bike only. I was curious, where is this island in America and found the your photo. Indeed, you can not drive around here. How did you travel? Interesting place and good shot.

Friendly greetings,

GyurIca

Gyurica, I believe we walked to our hotel. Then we toured the island in a horse-drawn wagon. It was very pleasant - a lovely place.

Very late thanks, Sebastián Cebrián, alma-emilio, K Jayakumar P Menon, Peter, and Bogdan.

Greetings from Canada, Marilyn
