At the end of the day at Bantham beach and the holiday makers were packing up to go home. I was struck by the vibrant colours and the way the wetsuits and their shadows interplayed on the wind-break.

Some advice I was given that I try to follow most of the time is to simplify, simplify and simplify again.
A photo is like a sentence (or, at the extreme, a word) - it's definitely not like a paragraph. What is the image about? What are you trying to get across - decide and then frame it so that's all it says.
