Wow, a beaut of a veteran, seen much in its days i'm sure. Pity it can't tell us. Tania

Dear Tania,
Delighted that you like the photos of the Cotswolds. I am trying to make a collection of all the Parish Churches around here since they are particularly characteristic of the area. Just added 4 more today, caught the sun shine between the showers ( which included a brief snow shower) this morning. I have checked out the locations of all your shots. You do get to some marvellous places.
Any further news of the Kamfers Dam flamingos? I have checked Mark's web site, but no news since Feb 23rd.
I hope all goes well. The sun is now our side of the equator, hooray!
All best
Graham

Hi Graham
First cold front hit us today, -1 degrees tonight and I miss summer already!
Mark will post more news on flamingo chicks soon. He has taken a lot of aerial photos to do counts, counted > 6000 chicks last week on the photos, recounting today on a new set taken yesterday. Still nests with eggs, over 2000 new eggs being incubated Mark estimates. The oldest chicks have fledged, flying and foraging all over the dam with the adults and gather in the island bays in the evenings.
It seems to be a great success, very few dead chicks seen. Hope the parents will incubate and keep the new-borns warm now that it is getting colder, but once fledged there is plenty of food for them at Kamfers Dam.
All the best Tania
