As part of the ongoing conservation work at Bantham beach, many areas of the dunes are fenced off. This is so that these coarse grasses can grow and bind the sand.
The dunes then provide a much richer environment for wildlife - and the sand doesn't all blow inshore!
Thanks Melkan - it was the curved shadows that I really liked in this one. Now that I've seen the potential, I can see I'll be returning to Bantham to try for a better composition... when the sun returns :)
