This is a little piece of my nostalgia, Mickado. I am glad you have visited my gallery and straight away found my favourite childhood places. The home in which my family lived is a few kms downstream from here. It is a beautiful part of the world. Ian

A wonderful moment catched in this picture. It must be graet for a child to grow up at this place.

Yes Martin, it was a great place to grow. I learnt to water ski here, I canoed here, and before the dam was built I remember my Dad driving us up this valley, just to go exploring. Upstream of the lake is a place where the black swans breed, and further up one come to a narrow gorge with an interesting waterfall at the head of the gorge. Not many visitors go there, but it is another of the special places in this valley.

And thankyou for your visit and response.

Thank you Miss Abbey. Sorry I missed seeing your comment until now - 3 years on! I am glad that you enjoyed your weekend and this special part of our world. This is my country. For us Mooloolaba is only an hour's away, and is a great beach!
