Seeing this cinema picture brings back so many happy memories, from my time serving at RAF Laarbruch 1984-1987. Thank you

I agree with you Bapix, it looks as though the cinema has not changed since I was at RAF Laarbruch in 1955, 30 years before you were there.

Saturday matinees 1975-1976,saw Battle of the planet of the Apes and walked home in the fog. Then I was sent to boarding school never to return.

Its not changed at all!!!!! I went there as a kid in the 70s, brings so many happy memories seeing these photo's. The Happy Days with my parents. Just a shame it has closed down.

I remember The Astra very well. I worked as a projectionist there during my stay at RAF Laarbruch between September 1957 and March 1960. I am revisiting in April this year - the first time for 49 years.

So you were the one who was rewarded by the good natured jeers from the audience, when the film came off the sprockets. I was also there from 57-60, and revisited about 8 yrs ago. Happy memories.
