The Ocean Princess heading towards the Western Entrance of Dover Harbour and into the Straits of Dover and English Channel beyond. The Western Entrance lies between the Admiralty Pier on the right and the out-of-shot Southern Breakwater further to the left.

The above photo was taken at 5.18 pm on Monday, 7th of June, 2010, from the lighthouse end of the Prince of Wales Pier. Earlier, the Ocean Princess had been berthed at Cruise Terminal 1 (CT1).

The Ocean Princess had departed Ceuta (an autonomous city of Spain located on the North African side of the Strait of Gibraltar) on the 1st of June and stopped at Le Havre (France) for the day on the 6th before arriving in Dover at 4.07 am on the 7th. The ship subsequently left Dover at 5.19 pm (photo not yet uploaded) on an 18-day round-trip "Land of the Midnight Sun" cruise calling at Stavanger (Norway), Flåm (Flaam, Norway), Tromsø (Tromso, Norway), Magdalene Fjord (Spitsbergen: "Scenic Cruising"), Ny-Ålesund (Spitsbergen), Honningsvåg (Honningsvag, North Cape, Norway), Murmansk (Russia), Gravdal (Lofoten Islands, Norway), Trondheim (Norway), Hellesylt (Norway: "Scenic Cruising"), Geiranger (Norway), and Bergen (Norway). The Ocean Princess is due back in Dover on the 25th of June.

Ocean Princess (formerly R Four and then Tahitian Princess) is an R-class cruise ship operated by Princess Cruises.
