Lake Ontario, on a summer afternoon. The sightseeing cruise ship (probably Empress) is turning around at this point and heads back downtown.

Which is your preference Olly? I had hard time to decide which to put in contest.

It is going to be even hotter, when Germany plays!! Keep cool!!

Olly Du on July 3, 2010

Tom, i prefer B/W the "goldener schnitt" effect (i only know this german words for the effect) works faster in our brain on B/W

goldener schnitt means 33% vertical lines and 33% vertical lines (marks)

in you photo here the horizon is abt 33% and the warning sign remarks the other 33%

i hope you can read what i mean, sorry for my poor english,

regards, olly

in south africa is at the moment winter, tom :)

its cold out there :)

Tomros on July 3, 2010

What I mean is the hot atmosphere during the match._____________ As for the composition, I go for an effect, which feels right. I took several photos as the ship was moving, and this one passed the muster. (made the grade)
