This is Sheafe's Warehouse, a late 18th-century warehouse. It was moved to this location when a bridge to Peirce Island was built (sometime in the first half of the 20th century). Local legend has it that John Paul Jones' privateer the Ranger used this warehouse. Today it houses art exhibits in summer.

In the late 1969 - 1970, I lived up teh street. We used to go to Pierce Island Pool. I would stop by here, and the old gentleman that was the caretaker used to tell me stories of teh old ships and such. He sold lots of little trinkets and souveniers. He made me a whale, that looked like teh old 'Yoken's Resturant' whale. It had a glass eye, but he told me it was a diamond. Wish I still had it. I miss the old gentleman.
