We arrived in Whitehorse, Yukon, a little before 11 p.m. daylight savings time. It was at the summer solstice, and Whitehorse is near the western edge of its time zone. From our motel room window we enjoyed the colourful, sunlit view outside.

Mmmm, just like you Marilyn....

Always Sunny, and EVERGREEN

I like the geometry and angles you found here, what do you make of this? conglomeration of convoluted geometry?

Colourful sunlit view indeed!! It does a wonderful job on the orange/red building.

I have been in Skagway for the Summer solstice. I would like to enjoy that again, thanks for the picture.

We got into Whitehorse after a long day's drive at just about eleven at night on the 18th of June. We found a pizza place that was open, most places were closed. After we ate, we went by a softball game that was still going on.

Well done, Marilyn. It looks like the 'golden hour' lasts and lasts in the Yukon. I like your Wisconsin shots, too. Nice to come 'home' in the summer.

Marilyn Whiteley on September 4, 2010

It's an amazing atmosphere, isn't it JB?

Yes, George, there's more "gold" in the region than the prospectors realized! I'm glad you enjoyed the shot from the area of our "second home," too.
